You will receive discharge instructions from the nurse at the direction of your doctor. Be sure to have a complete understanding of these instructions. Some are listed here for your reference.
Once at home, call your doctor immediately if the patient has difficulty breathing; excessive, persistent nausea or vomiting; fever and/or chills; unusual swelling or pain; or other complications that your doctor discussed with you.
If you are unable to reach your doctor, call your local emergency room for advice. Call 911 in the case of a life-threatening emergency.
You will receive a follow-up post operative call from one of our nurses the day after your surgery.
